Advantage is a by-product of innovation.

An entrepreneur and business leader who has spent two decades scaling technology companies at the intersection of mobility, fintech, and AI — and the last few years teaching founders how to do the same. He built Scaleup-in-a-Box for a single mission: to create scalable founders in scalable companies.

Scaling a category leader

Nic is co-founder and board member of Udrive — the GCC's first profitable car-sharing platform, today operating 2,500 vehicles across the UAE. He helped build it from a startup into the region's mobility-technology leader: the full arc from zero to scale, and the reason Scaleup-in-a-Box is built by someone who has actually lived the journey it automates.

A public company by 26

This wasn't his first time. Nic took his first company public in France in 2006 — at the age of 26 — and by 28 had built out eight offices across the world: Dubai, Singapore, Bangalore, Riyadh, Chicago, Kuala Lumpur, Cape Town, and London. A track record of building and scaling across continents, long before it was fashionable.

Teaching the next generation of founders

As a visiting lecturer at MBZUAI — the world's first AI-dedicated university — Nic developed and taught the inaugural year of the undergraduate entrepreneurship program, helping shape the next generation of technology leaders. It is the same institution whose Institute of Foundation Models builds the K2 reasoning models that power Scaleup-in-a-Box — the curriculum and the technology, from the same source.

The models behind SIAB

A cross-market operator

Over 20+ years across India, Africa, the Middle East, and the United States, Nic has specialized in scaling technology businesses at the intersection of mobility, fintech, and AI. He has led multinational teams through rapid transformation and used technological innovation to drive market expansion in both B2B and B2B2C — from the strategic repositioning of established enterprises to the rapid scaling of startups and building ground-up operations across emerging markets.

The Mission

Scalable founders in scalable companies

Scaleup-in-a-Box does two things at once: it gives a founder a team that scales the company from day one, and it develops the founder's own judgment as it does. Because advantage is a by-product of innovation — and the founders who innovate fastest are the ones who scale.

Why Scaleup-in-a-Box

Hard-won, not theoretical

When you scale fast in an environment of all first-time builders, you make more bad decisions than good ones. That experience — every wrong turn and the lesson that followed — is exactly what is built into Scaleup-in-a-Box.

Alongside it: the best practices Nic has gathered over two decades, and the tools and methods he didn't just read about, but implemented first-hand. It's the playbook of someone who has already made the mistakes — so your founders don't have to.

Background

Nic graduated with a First-Class BSc in Visualisation (Computer Animation & Games Programming) in the UK — a technical, creative foundation he has since brought full circle building an AI product. He has lived in the GCC for 23 years and mentors emerging entrepreneurs across the region.

Build with a founder's playbook

The experience of scaling a category leader, turned into a 10-agent AI team that runs your company from day one.
